Trade Hub of Constantinople

This is a video I created in which my students were experiencing how Constantinople was a trade hub. I filmed this so people could see how engaging and crazy I allow the class to get at times. Believe it or not, the students were completely under control, ENJOY-

WOw! I am really impressed with your application of the technology here. I was just a bit curious though about the bouncing boy in the background. What is his deal. Great Job!@#$%^&*(

Juliana, your students appear to be so engaged. (The one girl staring so intensely into the camera doesn't look so pleased). This is what I call controlled chaos during math activities when I taught 4th and 5th graders. This would be a great vid for showing parents what's happening in your classroom. If you were focusing on presentations, students could be filmed and get instant feedback. If you were training a student teacher in your classroom, this would be a terrific tool for feedback on their performance as well.

Thanks, you've given me more ideas of how to implement movies in the classroom!

Great lesson to teach the complexity of trade. The students were thoroughly engaged and enjoying every minute of it. This video could easily be used as a model for training new teachers.

Looked like fun. I see you used They Might Be Giants. Appropriate song. I am sure A LOT of prep and explanation went into getting them to pull this off.

What a great activity to have students do in order to get them to connect with the concept you were trying to teach? Is it History Alive? I love their simulations! Anyway, your video would be a great way to show lesson plans with other teachers. Nice job!
